The Catalan Government is fostering the IoT Solutions in Catalonia within the SmartCAT strategy, with initiatives de IoT Catalan Alliance, the IoT Solutions World Congress, the IoT support through RIS3CAT and using also the Industrial 4.0 ring platform. i2CAT, the Catalan internet research center is working very closely to the catalan Government in this area.
